Green Bio-Ethanol

Bio-ethanol is a renewable energy source made from the fermentation of sugars or starches derived from wheat, corn, sugar beets, sugar cane, beetroot, and any sugar or starch that alcoholic beverages can be made from (like potato and fruit waste, etc.). 

How is it produced?

The production methods used are:

1.enzyme digestion: this will release sugars from stored starches

2.fermentation of the sugars

3.distillation with the input of energy and heat- example: sugar cane is pressed to extract thejuice

4.drying

Bio-ethanol is completely composed of biological products. The combustion of bio ethanol results in a clean emission: Heat, Steam and Carbon Dioxide.

Ethanol is used to fuel bio-ethanol fireplaces. As they do not require a chimney and are flue less, bio-ethanol fireplaces are often a “green” alternative in new home building and and fantastic option in apartments without a flue.  The heat generated by the combustion of bio-ethanol stays in the room thus allowing for the burning of bio-ethanol to be efficient and effective.

Bio ethanol is classified as a Flammable Liquid Class 1B (for Flammability) and Class 3 PGII (for Transportation). You must comply with the regulations of your state in order to safely and legally store, handle and use this fuel.

The Bio-ethanol is denatured with various substances for re-sale purposes as it cannot be sold in its purest form to avoid human consumption

If you want to use the SAFER-BIO-FUEL™ in your existing Bio-Blaze® fireplace, you will need to upgrade your burner. We offer the conversion kit that can fit in each burner.

SAFER-BIO-FUEL™ provides a safer alternative and longer burn time than ethanol fuels (much slower to light). It is uniquely NON-FLAMMABLE (flash point 93°C - 200º F) providing ultra-safe handling. You can safely pour the fuel onto a burning flame, it will only put the fire out!

SAFER-BIO-FUEL™  has no special storage requirements and is a great clean-burning alternative to ethanol.
